'Kriger' is the Scandinavian word meaning 'Warrior'
"Warrior - person actively engaged in battle, conflict or warfare."
As functional fitness athletes, we go to battle every single day, a battle with ourselves, a battle for more, one more rep, one more kilo, one more round, the battle of the mind to keep going when your body's crying stop. Its these battles that keep us improving and growing stronger every single day, not just in body, but in mind as well. Its this strength that we forge in the gym that helps us through lives battles. It could be mental illness, or a debilitating disease, or the loss of a loved one. Through these hard times we find our solace in the pain cave and the people that hang out around it. We find solace in that one hour a day where we can leave the world behind us and go to war with ourselves, and inevitably discover more about ourselves than we ever would in a self help book. We find kinship in the people that suffer with us, each on our own journey to become 'better versions of ourselves'.
